  1. Show duration of how long a project has been worked on

Just as piece of mind, it would be nice to track how long a project has been worked on

  2. Too small window for entering text on this site

Yes, this is related to this site rather than Premiere Pro, but this window must be larger or at least being able by the end user to make larger.

When entering an idea it is frustrating to read through the post before posting and having to fiddle around and scroll in this small window. (See the attached picture)

  3. Cannot use Ctrl+N on the Home Screen to create new project (Windows)

I prefer to use keyboard shortcuts as often as possible. For some years ago i could launch Premiere Pro and press Ctrl+N to create a new project.

This shortcut does no longer work and it does not work in v 13.0 either and i want that shortcut back. (Ctrl+O works though...)

    1. Launch Premiere Pro
    2. In the Home Screen, press Ctrl+N

    Actual result:
    Nothing happens

    Expected Result:
That the New Project dialog pops up and lets me create a new project.

    Additional info:
I can still use Ctrl+O to launch the Open Project dialog.

  4. Change label color by clicking on it in Project bin (just like in After Effects)

Change label color of items in your project bin by clicking on the actual label color square - label dialog pops up - and click. After Effects does it beautifully.

  5. Copy and paste timeline markers onto clips, and vice versa

It would be really handy if you could copy and paste timeline markers onto a clip, and vice versa. Perhaps specifying the offset

  6. View markers panel list ascending/descending

Currently when viewing markers in the Markers Panel, it lists them in order of time. Would be nice to view the latest Marker created at the top

  7. Fix workspace bugs

I can't use Workspaces right now as they don't seem to remember which monitor is being used for which window set in place for the workspace. I'll save a workspace with my main window and timeline on monitor 1 and when I reload the project the next day, the window has shifted to monitor 2 with the other windows on top of it. I also often get a blank window when loading a previously saved workspace. The saved workspace now seems completely useless and I have to start from scratch with creating my workspace. Workspaces are unusable for me right…

  8. Make the pop-up menus the same sort order when I right click a clip in a sequence, vs. when I rt click an item in a bin.

Why are the menu options sorted differently? For example, right click a clip in a sequence and "Edit Original" is near the top. But right click the same source clip in a bin, and "Edit Original" is near the bottom.

  9. Create Multi-cam sequence should happen in the background

When creating a multicam sequence, The process should happen in the background so that we can continue to edit. Working on long form, documentary style projects, there are many interviews that need to be multi cam and the time it takes for each one to sync eats into edit time. If the process happened in the background, like proxy generation, that would free up Premiere to be able to edit at the same time.

  10. Remove the feature that shifts the playhead to the right side when I put it on the left side during playback.

It is useless for the playhead to move to the right side of the timeline when I click to put it on the very left side and start playback. It also happens if I move the playhead while the timeline is playing.

It would be nice if we could select an already applied video or audio transition without having to reach for the mouse.

  13. Active window after duplicating in project windows

It would be great if the media/sequence/etc that you duplicate in a bin automatically becomes active for renaming. Right now, if the bin you're working in isn't in your main project window (but instead on a different panel), when you duplicate and then click enter (to rename what you just duplicated) premiere jumps you back to whatever is at the top of your project window. What makes this even more infuriating is that whatever you duplicated is highlighted as if this is going to work, but it still jumps back to the main project window. This seems like such an…

  14. Unify the interface and feature sets

Premiere Pro has so many features and panels that us pro users have grown accustomed to, but there is so much room for improvement with how it is all layed out and I believe soon Premiere is in need of a major UI overhaul as more features are added in a very band-aid like fashion.

    My biggest problem areas are...
    - Essential Panels: While they bring some many needed features to premiere, it basically splits your control of paramters to various different panels. You got the Essential Graphics panel, where you can modify many features of a graphic, and the…

Add team messaging capabilities for team members working on the same project. Would be great to share notes and updates back and forth or share links to templates, music, etc.

  16. Zoom options as in After Effects

Premiere Pro could have more precise zoom options, like a zoom lens tool that works in the program screen panel, as the After Effects zoom tool.

  17. Return CMD Double click to open up merged Clips

In Premiere you can no longer CMD double Click merged clips to open them as a timeline (Same used to be true for Multi Camera Sequences ) and then adjust the audio or video start points or make adjustments to the whole video or audio. This feature that was removed in the April update this was sent in as a bug report and the one half of the issue was solved (multicam works right now with the latest update ) but the merged clips issue remains. I have attached videos to illustrate how it used to work and how it…

  18. manually entering color code in fill for a title doesn't work, you must go and copy that code and then paste it.

When I go to update my text color to match previous titles, I manually type in my color e.g. 0A2CF6 - and it doesn't take. If I paste that same code, it will work.

  19. Option to show multicam camera label in timeline

Currently there are three options when grouping: 'Enumerate', 'Track Names' and 'Clip Names'. These currently only appear to show up in the 'multicam' drop down for camera selection.

    It would be useful to:
    a. alter this after the multicam sequence is created
    b. show this metadata in the timeline display e.g. instead of
    [MC3] Multicam Sequence Name

    it could be
    [MC3: A001C002XYZ.mov] Multicam Sequence Name

This might be especially useful if there were an option to access the audio file metadata track names for display here. Also if the options for video were to be more than clip name (e.g.…

  20. Timeline scrubbing broken when project window is active while importing some clips or images

With the latest build from this 1.21 branch, I've noticed that importing some clips to project window or straight to timeline messes up the timeline scrubbing indicator WHEN the project window is activated.

Once I activate any other windows such as media browser or effects, it starts to work again. I have never noticed this before, so is this a bug or have been doing something wrong previously. It doesn't happen with all the clips, so it's pretty random.

Here's a screen capture video which illustrates the bug: https://youtu.be/x8fZT4N2AVY
