  1. DV capture setting gone [BUG]

For the capture settings, I only have an option to capture HDV and not DV. This only occurred after I updated my macbook pro to Catalina. Please fix this issue

  2. Add extra options to Default Media Scaling Preferences

    Hi team,

I'm constantly receiving footage that is in various full frame formats and continually having to scale out the pillar/letterboxes as needed. It would be great to add an additional preference pane underneath the default media scaling to choose something like full media or full bleed. Default to full media like everyone's used to, but then also, if you have a 2048x1080 or 4096x2160 frame allow premiere to fill the entire frame if requested? I know it's super menial, but it would save a lot of time when working with tons of full frame footage, yet delivering in a…

  3. "Extend Selected Edit to Playhead" now automatically put you into trim mode

As of 2020 update, when you do an extend edit to playhead, which I use and have used often, it automatically kicks you into trim mode. This causes me to now have to exit trim mode to get back to editing, each time causing me extra clicks and annoyance. If you added this as a feature, please give us a way to turn it off so I can simply extend edit to playhead again! This happened as of 2020 update.

  4. Give options for background and text color combinations

I suggest that users be given many options for background and text color combinations within the application. It is vital for users to be able to change the “theme” of the background so that instead of being grey with pale gray lettering, it is what low vision people need: white background, with black fonts. Dark backgrounds with grey fonts are historically difficult even for people with normal vision. For anyone with cataracts or many other ophthalmologic afflictions, it is quite exhausting to decipher the commands and menu items on the Premiere Pro screen.

Through your customer support I was able…

  5. The ability to decide whether to keep or delete a render

if I run the render "in/out render", the only way to exit is to hit the "cancel" button.
If I press "cancel" all the rendering done up to that moment, it is canceled.

Tt would be very useful to introduce the possibility of deciding whether to completely cancel the render or cancel the render from the point where you arrived forward (keeping the render up to that point).

A button to decide whether to keep the rendering done or cancel everything.
Now you can only go out and erase everything, which is meaningless.
It would be useful to have the…

  7. Setting to contextually ignore toggle for overwriting as individual clips or nests if using multicamera source sequence

The toggle on the timeline to insert or overwrite source sequences as nests or individual clips is one of my favourite Premiere Pro features. However, sometimes I have a project where I will be editing with some source sequnces that are regular sequences and some that are multicamera.

When the source sequence is a multicamera source sequence, I will ALWAYS want the behaviour to be overwriting as a nested sequence, otherwise there would be no point for me to have made it a multicamera source sequence in the first place. However I will almost ALWAYS want regular sequences loaded as…

  8. Change sequence settings while retaining framing and timing

Currently, if I receive a timeline that is 4K, and the final output is to be HD, and my computer can't handle the playback of the 4K sequence - and I go to sequence settings and change the timeline to HD (scale down), all the footage that was scaled to, or framed for the 4K screen will have retained its pixel size relative to the HD frame. i.e. a 4K footage that is scaled 100% on a 4K output (full frame), will still be 100% if i change the sequence to HD and be far too large for the new…

  9. Workspace Still not Properly Saving

    Premiere Version 14.2.0 - Windows 10 Pro

When creating a new project the Project Panel is STILL not in the correct place. Everything else in the workspace saves properly. For the past several updates the issue has been the same.

The Project Panel is the only window not properly saving. This only occurs when starting a new project.

I've tried all of the troubleshooting recommended over the span of several months.

  10. Make opening a sequence when creating a sequence optional

When creating a sequence, make its automatic opening optional in Preferences>Timeline on par with the new "Restore open sequences when opening projects" feature. The idea is to stop a Timeline panel to popup if you are in a workspace that's only dealing with clips and sequences organisation and not editing.

  11. Preference to disable Intel QuickSync Decoding

Please add a preference to disable Intel QuickSync hardware decoding for troubleshooting purposes as multiple users with this issue have requested such: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro/suggestions/39076387-bug-premiere-pro-2020?page=1&per_page=20

  12. make an option to choose which effect to manipulate on timeline clips by default. no

make an option to choose which effect to manipulate on timeline clips by default. now it's only Opacity. it's a hustle to switch to Time Remapping when you make a lot of speedramps.
also, make clips thumbnails visible under that line when switched to Time Remapping, like it's visible otherwise

  13. Control of Increment size on "Increase / Decrease Keyframe Value"

Allow setting of the adjustment range for "Increase / Decrease Keyframe Value"

I see in the 2015 release Increase / Decrease Keyframe Value was added as an assignable keyboard shortcut.

Right now this only does this in 5 point value increments. I.e. 30 35 40 45.

More control over this would be great. Or setting it to 1 I.e. 31 32 33 34, so that there is finer control.

    Thank you

  14. Adjustable Gain Hotkey

Would be great if gain could be adjusted "nudged" like volume can up and down. So like volume I can adjust the gain on the fly without having to bring up the gain settings everytime.

Also would be nice to be able to paste gain settings when applying effect to multiple clips.

  15. Automatically create sequence at start of new project

I believe this use to be a thing way back in Adobe 5.0 in 2004, but I would like it that when I create a new project it would automatically create a new sequence. The sequence created would be whatever the user wants as their default and would be chosen at the time the user first uses Premiere. This of course could be triggered on or off.

To most high end users this would be a feature they wouldn't use, but in a classroom with 120+ students using Premiere the less steps they have to go through just to start…

  16. Reinstate DV capture to Premiere Pro!

Catalina (Mac OS) has nullified the DV capture setting for Premiere Pro. Editors need this feature desperately. Please bring it back. I have lots of old tapes I need to capture. Am I supposed use iMovie? We pay for these features. Please add them back.

  18. Could a layout be chosen for the visually impaired; so with larger icons?

Could a layout be chosen for the visually impaired; so with larger icons?
that would be also useful for motor impairments who work with eye control, like me.

  19. Proxy Ingest Preset does not allow smaller resolutions then 1024x576

I want to use a smaller resolution for proxy files the 1024x576. If i create a media encoder preset with for example 480x270. And then create a ingest preset, then the resolution can't be lower then 1024x576.

    Could this be fixed?

  20. Edit Workspaces

    edit Workspaces

last year I sent a feedback but I think it's worth sending again. I have been working with the "Projects" table on the top left side and the "Info" table on the side.

I saved this workspace, but every time I open a new project it returns to normal... (stay below with the effects table)

    thx
