  2. Skip new features for next release and focus only on bug fixes and speed issues

Focus only on bug fixes and performance will make a big announce to professional community !

Not only it will help adobe to gain back the trust with all users, it will send a strong message to the industry.

A lot of people are switching to other software, the time that took dev teams to fixes all the bugs is too long. On Premiere working on a advanced project that is longer than 8/10 minutes seems impossible now...

Many influencer and creative people are switching to Resolve as it gets better and better... as Phillip Bloom and others...

    I think…

  3. Premiere crashes when I try to load project in latest version

I have never had this issue before but when I try to load projects in Premiere now (including projects that were fine four days ago), the program crashes and has the spinning wheel of death or a clock icon that never goes away.

I restarted Premiere Pro and my computer 3x to no avail. This is causing a serious issue on a time sensitive project and does not appear to have any solution. I'm on a MacBook Pro 16" with OS Catalina and the latest version of Premiere Pro CC that updated about 10 days ago.

  4. Please Fix the slow, laggy UI on 5k HiDPI Screens!

    Hi,

I just got a brand new Apple Mac Pro with the 32 GB Vega II GPU and was hoping it would finally bring smooth UI performance to my 5k Display in Premiere. Sadly, this has absolutely not been the case. Simply scrubbing the timeline, or moving a clip around is so sluggish and slow, it‘s just god awful. The same project on a 6 years old trashcan Mac Pro with 3xFull HD Displays runs absolutely like butter.

Other software, like Final Cut, manage the same performance on the new machine on a 5k Display, but not Premiere. This is…

  5. Blackmagic Design Shuttle card doesn't work in Premiere Pro CC

We recently started using Blackmagic Design (BMD) cards for capturing old film and video material. We use the Intensity Pro 4K and Intensity Shuttle.

The old material (firewire solutions) no longer works and had to be replaced. Premiere could work (until version 12 - 2018) with firewire solutions.

If all prescribed settings are set for, the card will not work. "Capture device offline" is the message.
At the same time, a source can be displayed on the same PC's in other software, such as Media Express (BMD software), GrassValley Edius 9 and OBS.

Several times via chat the helpdesk consulted,…

  6. Insufficient Memory Error

I have come across an error in Prem 14.3.0 (see attached)

The insufficient memory error occurs when I'm trying to copy, move, or basically do anything in the project. This will usually happen after a couple hours of usage, or a shorter amount of time if im doing a lot of exporting/rendering/more intensive work.

Once the error occurs i cannot copy/move or do much of anything in the project. Its almost as if it turns to "read only". Although I am on a solo PC and I do not use Team projects.

To get rid of the error and continue…

  10. .Mogrt performance is super slow in 2020

    Specific issues:
Sluggish scrubbing, choppy playback, longer load time.

Our dev team was super excited to hear about the new upgrades, but have found performance is dramatically slowed down in the latest version.

Curious if there will be a patch to fix it, or if there are new development standards to make tools align with the new version? (New code optimization techniques etc.)

Also attached a clip comparing the speed of 2019 to 2020.

  11. GPU-Support for Exporting Canon Cinema Raw Light

Premiere Pro (until version 14.3) does not use the GPU for processing CRM-files. Although you can draw the curtain over that for playback by using proxies, when it comes to exporting you can not get around that problem. The CPU runs at 100%, whereas the GPU runs at 5-15% depending on the effects used. Davinci Resolve is more than 100times faster rendering the same timeline with a similar grading.

  12. As expected performance is miserably slow in the latest Premiere update 14.3.1

Update after update performance continues to suffer. I'm running on a capable machine (iMac, Mojave 10.14.6, 32GB RAM, 4GHz i7, AMD Radeon R9 M390 2GB.) and continue to see pinwheels (hourglass) at every move even on simple projects with small amounts of media. This did not used to be the case. I'm weening myself off Premiere it's clearly not the way forward. Would not recommend to anyone at this point. You guys can do way better than this.

  13. Dynamic Links Crash With New Update

I've only just had this issue after being completely updated (ugh.) When prepping for export, saving, closing AE and returning to my Premiere project - all linked media goes offline. Super frustrating and consistently happens now.

  16. Premiere eats all RAM and processing power, more than its limited to in settings. 2019-2020.

I'm sure it's posted here often but want to make sure this is a primary focus for Adobe. Premiere 2019/2020 devours all RAM on my system (32GB, Mac, 10.14.6), even when it's supposed to be limited to X amount of allotted RAM. Leaving RAM for other applications does nothing and it completely takes over my computer. What is Premiere doing in the background that it takes all my machine's memory and power to process? Can we see these background processes? This happens every single time Premiere is opened even if it's the same project. What is happening? Please immediately fix…

    That’s some strange behavior!
What setting are you using (in PPro Prefs —> Memory), for “RAM reserved for other applications”?
    What other applications are running?
Do you have any third party extensions or plug-ins installed, and in use?
About “a normal quit takes up to 20 minutes before the program actually closes”: During that time, PPro is properly releasing all the memory it used during the session. The fact that it’s taking that long suggests a problem with the actual memory, and/or some additional software interacting/interfering with PPro.

  17. The 5 things Premiere urgently needs to fix:

Hey Adobe, Premiere desperately needs the following fixes. I'm having a hard time getting work done with projects that constantly crash.

    1) Clip markers on WAVs and mp4s balloon project file sizes causing ultra slow saves, load times, and general slow-downs. An otherwise tiny project can get enormous when you have a clip markers scattered across x amount of files. This is a fact please take a look. Clip markers can also return after you clear them save and reopen a project. It's a like a virus that won't go away.

    2) We need a better way to bring in…

  19. Adobe Premiere Pro 14.3.1 crashes Windows 10

After the upgrade to 14.3.1, opening Premiere Pro, and adding any media to the editor results in my whole Windows system crashing. Checking Task Manager, it looks like Premiere Pro was running up memory usage out of control. Downgrading to 14.3.0 fixed the issue.

  20. Optimization for Multi-thread (AMD Ryzen) processors

I recently updated my system to Ryzen 9 3900X. I have 64GB of 3200Mhz of ram, 6gb 1060gtx. I am editing BMPCC 6k raw footage. Can't playback the footage at full resolution, but that is not the issue. The issue that I'm having is when I apply warp stabilizer it takes 15min to analyze a several second clip and the resources of my computer are completely idle. Rendering 265 and 264 is extremely slow. When rendering the use of the processor doesn't go beyond thirty something percent. This extremely slow workflow is insanely frustrating.
