  1. Restrict Import to Media Browser

One of the most common reasons for users to have unstable systems is the fact that they have imported from Finder/Explorer and not via Media Browser.

From our experience, Media Browser Import workflow ensures strong file path structures, stitched files to import properly, and dynamic linking to work without errors (particularly in rendering via AME).

SUGGESTION: When a user attempts to drag-n-drop from Finder/Explorer, a warning should pop up that informs the user to choose media browser (and ideally prompt to have media browser open that folder).

  2. Clips randomly go offline in 12.1.1 and won't reconnect

The latest version of Premiere is causing random clips in my project to go offline, and when I try to relink them it won't connect to the original files, saying they don't contain video or something, and to relink will permanently delete the clips from the project. Major bug with no workaround, please fix!

  3. Media browser: The ability to go up a level in the file hierarchy

I have been battling with the Media Browser recently, trying to find out how to simply go up a level in the file/folder hierarchy. Unbelievably, it seems that this most essential part of folder navigation is completely absent from Premiere. I honestly thought it must be user error, but, after much searching, this feature is evidently missing. Every other file browser since GUIs were invented has a way to go up a level - why is this fundamental feature missing from Premiere?

  4. BUG: In latest update (April 13) AEP files open the dynamic link menu TWICE

As of the latest update, importing After Effects project files into Premiere pops up the Dynamic Link menu (to select a composition) TWICE. Choosing different items imports both into a folder, cancelling the second time cancels it outright.
Inconvenient in a fast-moving environment where you normally have to select it and hit OK once. Lots more clicks involved.
I would LOVE the ability to control-click multiple compositions here, but this is not the way to go.

  5. Fix wrong colors in MP4 0-255 files

PrPro/AE interprets wrong color space when import MP4 0-255 8 bit files. Specifically it happens with Lumix GH4/GH5/G7 etc. cameras. This bug appears in each version of adobe products. Look at https://forums.adobe.com/message/10289914

  6. Import selected sequences not working

Recently I have been unable to import selected sequences from other Premiere Pro projects. I go through all of the steps, press "OK", but nothing happens.

The work around is opening said project and then just copying and pasting the desired sequence, but this means that I get tons of duplicate media. Please fix this!

  8. Synching ready transcripts

Thanks for the new speech-to-text feature! I'd also really love to see the option for synching the already existing transcript (from the .txt file, for example) with the video.

Most of the time, I already have the text of what is said in the video, so using speech-to-text and correct it where needed is kind of not the most rational way of doing things. If you introduce this function, that'd be a life-changer for me, so much time would be saved.

When I tried to use "Import transcript" feature, it only allows .prtranscript files, but I have plain text.

    Thank…

  9. Please remove the proxy audio channel matching requirement.

I should be able to easily attach camera generated proxies to the primary RAW source footage. However, because the camera writes 8 channels on the audio and 4 channels on the proxies, Premiere Pro rejects the attachment. I shouldn't have to re-transcode all my proxies so they match based on audio...

  10. Bug: getInsertionBin() returns root bin of wrong project

In Extendscript, we are told to use project.getInsertionBin() to get the root bin to use project.importFiles()for that project.
When there are more than 1 projects opened, the project refers to the correct project name, but getInsertionBin returns the root bin of an other opened project, which is not the one from app.project.

  11. Allow to import folder with only one item

When we import a folder hierarchy only the folders with more than 1 item remain. Any folders with only one item in it, the file will be imported but the folder does not remain.

  12. Live updating folders within the project

It would be amazing to drop a folder into premiere and whenever its updated in finder (or windows equivalent), the folder gets updated in the premiere project aswell. Eg. I drop a folder into premiere with 5 videos in. I then upload more videos to the original folder in finder, and those videos automatically get put into the premiere project too.

  13. Timecode sync audio/video in batches

Sync audio and video by timecode in batches:
It would be great if you could select an entire bin or folder full of clips and autosync ALL of them in one go via timecode. As it is right now, you need to do them one by one which is very time consuming if you have hundreds of hours worth of material.

  14. BUG: V14.0 Audio Sync Issues on Import (Premiere Pro 2020)

Hi, after updating to Premiere Pro version 14.0 video clips imported playback out of sync in the program and source monitors. The clips play fine in any video player outside of Premiere. I'm primarily importing MP4 files. I tried renaming the files from MP4 to MOV but it's still out of sync inside Premiere. I shoot with a Canon C100 and switched the camera to record .MTS files - same thing. My only workaround was to switch to Premiere Pro 2019 where clips are playing fine.

  16. By enabling import of multiple folders in the Windows 10 version of Premiere just like the Mac version!

Windows has a seperate button on the import window "import folder", while the Mac version imports multiple selected folders in the windows version it is one at a time.
Please fix this it's not nessersary to do one at a time.

  17. Dynamic link between File Explorer/Finder and Premiere Projects

Make Premiere projects live-link with files in their folders. Example: I drop a file into "documents/premiere projects/Test Video/Media" the file shows up in a premiere bin. Same applies for deleting/clearing files.
    .
This would make ingesting so much easier, and make it much faster to import graphics and other last-minute files. No more having to dig through tons of Windows to drag files into premiere.
Would be super nice to have if it's possible. Would definitely give Premiere an advantage over pretty much any other editing software.

  19. Link bins to different OS folders

In my projects, i generally have two different bins that import from two different folders on my OS. i create assets for these folders on the fly. Every time i create an asset and import it into Bin1, i have to navigate to it in the Import prompt. Then i create an asset meant for Bin 2, and again, i have to navigate through the OS prompt to that bin before i can import.

Why can't i just tell a Bin to always point to a specific folder, so that when i import, it automatically navigates there FOR me? Bonus…

  20. media browser

When I have a a folder with a lot of subfolders in it, the media browser (and the "locate files panel") will not show the existence of that folder. It seems it can't display a folder with many subfolders in it. Really frustrating as in Windows explorer it displays just fine. I know I can drag and drop into the project panel, but a lot of times I need to be able to use the media browser and "locate files" panel!
