  1. Local file library

PLease make the ability to create LOCAL libraries that work in the library panel. Currently it is impossible to add video files to the cc library or other large files. It would be of immense value to be able to add video overlay files to the library for quick access. Files that one overlays over other videos such as rotating icons or such that can't be made from static files.

  2. 12.1.2 Importing 60fps (not 60i) imports incorrectly... sometimes.

In 12.1.2, my minecraft 60fps (not 60i) videos are importing with some as 60.00 fps and some as 59.xx fps. This causes some clips to have 60 frames, and some revert to 30 frames. Verified recording software and clips are all 60fps. Reverted to 12.1.1 and everything imports fine and correct.

I will attempt to make a video and post on youtube that shows exactly what I mean.

  4. Bug: Thumbnail View in Media Browser refreshes continuously when "Write XMP ID to files on import" is on.

When the Write XMP ID preference is on, if I browser via the media browser with thumbnails, the thumbnails constantly refresh and reset to the top. It happens on both Mac and PC.

  6. Bug report!! DPX

Premiere version 12.1.1 (build10) when importing the image sequence DPX is not correctly interpreted frame rate, instead of 25.0000 interprets 25.0010. Same thing with a frequency of 24.0000. this results in problems with duration and rendering

  8. Improve and Consolidate the Appearance of Duplicate Media

I can't tell you how many times I've imported a sequence, NOT clicked "Allow Importing Duplicate Media" and ended up with duplicate media anyway. Media that is clearly in my project.

Furthermore, deleting media that I know is a duplicate removes the clip instance in the timeline, so I'm forced to keep both copies.

It would be fantastic to have a feature where Premiere scans your project for duplicate media, media that is clearly, or nearly, identical, and allows you to choose which one to keep.

  9. Make Import of EMBEDDED AAF files (from Avid for instance) possible.

The only option force to us to move/copy original media resulting in huge file, too big to send over wetransfer etc. Plus relinking could be skipped to. In short importing embedded files would be soooo much more convenient. Thank you in advance.

  10. Ingest camera metadata

Has anyone ever seen camera metadata in Premiere from non-raw footage?

Almost any camera today records metadata like model, serial no., ISO, white balance, etc. Premiere has had an extensive metadata system for over 5 years... and you'd think that developing codec support for any cameras that come out would include interpreting those metadata fields.
It's one of those "how come this hasn't been implemented 5 years ago?"...

I worked mostly with Sony and Canon cameras, so they're the ones I've seen without metadata.

    This feature request would cover

  12. Support “.fcpxml timeline import” as soon as possible

My team is using both of premiere and Final Cut Pro X.
My team is using both of premiere and Final Cut Pro X.
So we need to share project file between both of them.
To say frank, we cannot spend money to buy 3rd party app that makes the function enable.

We hope you Adobe team will make it.

  13. Import After Effects Composition - Bug + Improvement

When I import an After Effects Composition I click the desired comp, then OK, then the "Import After Effects Composition" window appears again so I have to go through the process again...

Can you also please make it so we can select and import multiple comps at once?

  14. CSV Markers file IMPORT to sequence or clip

We can export markers, but not import them.

Import -> CSV or TXT or JSON -> markers to sequence or markers to clip.

Nothing too smart, just timecode and marker, maybe even the comment.

This would help integrate with nonstandard workflows and would help prevent us moving the whole workflow to a competitor product.

  15. Reveal in Media Browser

Similar to "Reveal in Project" or "Reveal in Finder/Explorer" it would be nice to have an additional "Reveal in Media Browser" option that opens the chosen file in Media Browser, including showing the folder path in the left hand column.

One of the common uses of "Reveal in Finder" is to quickly find other takes from the same card/folder that have not yet been imported. Because some file types can not be natively previewed in Finder or Explorer (eg RedRaw, or ProRes on a Windows machine), it would be much easier to reveal the files directly in the Media Browser…

  17. When copying a clip from project to another, ask where put media

I work for an in-house agency so many projects include reusing footage from previous projects. Having multiple projects open to hunt for footage is really helpful, however, when I find a great clip from a sequence is project B,C, or D and copy it into a sequence from project A, upon import it duplicates the whole folder structure that clip was in. I organize all my projects mostly the same way so I get a new "Video Media" folder for every clip I import from another project. It would be REALLY helpful from a project organization standpoint if I had…

  18. Import window/ dialogue upgrade

When importing xmls or premiere projects, the import window sometimes remains stalled as if Premiere pro crashed. Many times we force quit imports, when we just should have waited 5-10mins. It would help to get a working import bar which indicates that Premiere pro is currently working and has not crashed during import. And also an indicator what it is importing and how long it'll take.

  19. import edl

    Hi there,

I am looking for a way to tell Premiere to link to the media already in the project when importing an edl.
Currently, when I import an edl in Premiere, it creates a folder with the media offline and the sequence so I have to relink the media. In most cases I already have the media I need in the project so it would be great to have a way to link the media in the sequence to existing media so to avoid duplicates in the project and waste time relinking.

    Thanks

  20. Properly detect and import .avi files with multiple audio tracks

Reproduce this issue by recording an .avi with multiple audio tracks - likely with DXTory. Then import the raw video into premiere. Only one audio track will be shown. Right-clicking the footage and selecting properties shows that Premiere can see the additional audio tracks.

To use the additional tracks, install VLC media player and return to your original raw footage in windows explorer. Right-click, select 'export audio stream'. Then import those .wav files into Premiere and sync them individually against the original material.

This is TERRIBLE workflow. As someone with 4 audio sources per clip, I spend ~5 minutes exporting,…
