  1. Import Graphics

When importing a graphic from Photoshop, it would be great to have Premiere remember the users' last choice and dialogue box sizing/position. So, if you chose individual layers, that would be the default on the next import - if you've elongated the dialogue box to view many layers of a .psd it would stay that way until changed or restarted.

  2. Not importing XAVC Intra (Work Stoppage)

I am editing a project for a client and I am stuck, and there is a deadline looming. My source material is XAVC Intra. When I attempt to bring in to Premiere either through the Media Browser or through File>Import, the result is an audio-only clip, no video. I also tried to bring the footage into Media Encoder and After Effects, with same results. After reading about other issues with XAVC format in Premiere, I downloaded Premiere Beta, but had simiular results. Thinking that perhaps Black Magic Desktop Video was somehow interfering, I uninstalled it but still had the same…

  4. Importing different files with the same names but from different folder cause premiere to use the same clip from the first folder

As i stated in the title, i'm not sure if this is a bug or what is it but Importing different files with the same names but from different folders cause premiere to use the same clip from the first folder

the problem that i'm half way through several projects using the same video clips and i can't change them since that will impact all other projects

and to get worse when i select a bin from premiere and create proxies sometimes it doesn't create proxies for all the videos in it.

    App version : Adobe premiere 15.4.0 Build 47 …

  5. request for better caption options

it would be great if there was an option import captions as a raw .txt file, then the transcription could be done using existing the "script of the video" rather than translating the audio

  6. Correct Clip naming on Import

On import, currently, if you import a footage folder from a Canon camera the folder structure is, CONTENTS > CLIPS > CLIPNAME.MXF However, they end up importing always as CLIP01 rather than the clip name. If you manually go and change the folder CONTENTS to CONTENT, then they import with the clip name. Can you please fix this?

  7. Configure color management import settings in project settings

Configure colour management import settings manually to decide the colour space to Rec709 or 2020 or any other LUT based on the preference of the intended output settings, not the origin clip.

Have the ability to save these settings in the project settings menu, not in the clip modification window of each media source.

  8. make imported png sequences match fps with pre existing sequence

when i imported a png sequence into a video that had the sequence set at 24fps, the png sequence said 29.97fps in it's properties, so when I dragged it into the timeline it would skip some frames, eventually after releasing 5kg of Cortisol, the primary stress hormone, I figured out that by going to edit>preferences>media>indeterminate media timebase, and switching it from 29.97 to 24, I was able to fix this problem. an AMAZING idea is that from now on, all imported png sequences will have their fps set to whatever the sequence fps of the project already is.

  10. Warn me of variable video framerate issues & audio sync issues, and let me know what I can do about it

I just spent most of a day trying different video formats, codecs, etc., and trying to get them to import.

if Premiere had give me one message that said "this variable framerate video file may not be imported correctly; try using handbrake to make it constant" would have saved me hours of wild goose chase.

better yet, fix that in premiere.

  11. A media manager for normal projects the same way there is for Team Projects

I wish there'd be a media manager for normal projects the same way there is for Team Projects: Each individual PC has their own filepath and remembers that. That way, if computers work off the same server but use different mounting Letters (K:/L: etc) It still find the footage rather having to relink the entire project every time.

  12. BUG in PPv2022. DNxHD MOV import is not working!

Media doesn't import. Alerts saying "Error Retrieving Frame1" (etc). This is DNxHD These are clips that worked fine in PPv14. I'm uploading a 1sec video only GFX transition with embedded alpha, for you to test. I tried both promoting a PPv14 project, and also starting a brand new PPv2022 project, and nope, it does not work, on multiple files.

  15. Keep folder hierarchy when importing media

When importing media, Premiere doesn't respect the folder hierarchy.
For example, if you have a folder "STUDIO" with several subfolder for each camera (CamA, CamB, ...), importing the whole "STUDIO" folder will create a bin named "Cam_A" and all footage from all cameras will end up there. I have to import each camera separately if I want to keep my cameras separated which is very time consuming and frustrating especially when you know that some Adobe developer spent time writing a piece of code thinking "Who uses bins anyways?"

  16. Maintain folder structures on import

Add an option to preserve empty folder structures on import!

Often I or an assistant editor will create a folder structure in the finder with empty folders to be populated with media later on in the production workflow (i.e. Final mix stems, color files, graphics). Currently if you import empty folders or folders with only one item in them, those empty folders disappear on import and the single item that was inside them is left outside any folder. This prevents planning and proper organization, and I'm not sure what the benefit of it is? Fewer folders? But I wanted those,…

  17. BUG - Dynamic Link on M1 Pro chipset crashes Premiere Pro

Importing an After Effects Composition into Premiere Pro 2022 just causes it to crash and hang. If you open a project with one already inserted into a sequence it will play momentarily and then immediately cause Premiere Pro to crash. Only way to get out of it is to force quit then you get a message saying a serious error occurred.

  18. BUG REPORT - IMPORT ERRORS FILMIC PRO SUBSTITUTION RECURSION

The HEVC files generated by Filmic Pro capture at 30fps, 4k 2160P, FILMic Extreme, 10-bit LogV3 [shutter locked to 60Hz or Auto] when imported to Adobe Premiere Pro Version 15.2.0 Build 35 are generating thousands of "error reading frame *** @ xx:xx" substitution/recursion events on import and when either playing back the source clip itself or when embedding it in a sequence and playing that... Using Adobe Media Encoder to transcode the original Filmic Pro output into Apple ProRes 422HQ renders editable/usable files and is an acceptable workaround in the short term but obviously far less than ideal. I've searched…

  19. New Beta Import needs a "select all clips" option - clicking one at a time for import doesn't work

New Beta Import feature needs a "select all clips" option - or any easy way to import numerous clips. Clicking one at a time for import doesn't work for productivity. There isnt a way to click first clip, hold shift click last clip option either - we need more options around selecting clips if this is going to be the way forward for importing
