  2. Can no longer drag and drop media into Project Panel

I have always been able to drag a clip, a music track, a photo, or an After Effects comp directly into my Project Panel in order to import it into the project. I suddenly am no longer able to do that.

  3. MXF files with EIA-608 embedded captions are not decoded properly in Premiere

I have not had any success in importing an mxf file with embedded 608 captions into premiere pro. I've tried everything, and the most helpful thing I've read so far is to log this as a bug.

  5. Support for importing IMF (Interoperable Master Format) files.

IMF is becoming the standard format in which to transfer assets between post houses and streaming platforms. Netflix insist on it, for example.

The TV and movie industry is under pressure to adopt it as soon as possible but without support from Adobe it's challenging.

  7. New folder through drag and Drop

It would be nice if dragging bunch of files on the "new folder" icon in Project window would create a new folder and put these files in that folder.

  8. Support complex edit lists

I can't import footage using the screen recorder on my new MacBook Pro, because when I try to import it, I get an error message saying, "File contains a complex edit list"

  9. BUG: 25p AVCHD footage interpreted as 25i by PP 2019

As the title says it, PP 2019 imports Sony AVCHD 1080/25p footage as 25i. All older versions import it correctly as 25p, only 2019 has the bug.

  10. Fix the 'recovered clips' bug

Everytime you copy or import anything from one project to another premiere creates automatically a bin called 'recovered clips' which is very annoying.
Then, you edit through all you clips and in your secuence if you choose to 'show you in project' it goes to the 'recovered clips' bin and not to the original bin that has your material.
    This is a huge bug.

  11. When Importing a folder with a group of subfolders, the subfolders with only one file are not imported just the enclosed file.

Since I work with files that have cryptic names, having them inside of a subfolder helps me identify them and keep my project organised. Currently, Premiere Pro discards any subfolders with just one file and imports them into the root folder. Please change Premiere Pro so that it no longer discards subfolders containing a single file.

  12. Dynamic link between File Explorer/Finder and Premiere Projects

Make Premiere projects live-link with files in their folders. Example: I drop a file into "documents/premiere projects/Test Video/Media" the file shows up in a premiere bin. Same applies for deleting/clearing files.
    .
This would make ingesting so much easier, and make it much faster to import graphics and other last-minute files. No more having to dig through tons of Windows to drag files into premiere.
Would be super nice to have if it's possible. Would definitely give Premiere an advantage over pretty much any other editing software.

  13. Please force clip names in timeline to be ascending

Since a few Versions of Premiere it is super annoying that the order of clips, dragged and dropped in the timeline, are mixed up instead of the original ascending clip order they have in the Project Window. :-(

  14. Merge Imported Files

Say you're doin' a bit of editing, and you've got yourself in a bit of a pickle and realise you've left a beautifully cut sequence in an older project file. You go and import the sequence from the old project and then BAM, it has imported the rushes AGAIN! WHY!

So here's my idea, when something like this happens, it would be absolutely magic if we could say select the imported rushes folder and the rushes folder that was already there (matching of course), and then right click and hit a button (something like "Merge Imported Files") and it will…

  15. scene detection

Premiere needs a Scene Detect function, either on Import or in a Sequence, to easily cut up stringouts. It's much faster to wade through broll packages when you can delete clips that aren't useful, rather than using the razor to make ins and outs constantly. Resolve has this functionality, why not Premiere?

  16. Support for PDF files importing

Please add the support for adding a PDF file directly into premiere without opening illustrator. This could be useful for logos.

  17. Sort alphabetically within User Order on import

Currently, if you have a folder sorted by User Order and you batch import (shift-click to select), say, media1.xyz, media2.xyz, media3.xyx and media4.xyx, they won't appear in alphabetical order. They'll be in some wacky, seemingly random order like media2, media4, media3, media1 at the bottom of the folder. It's not even reverse order. It's scattershot.

If i import media1-4, then those items should appear at the bottom of a User Order-sorted list *alphabetically* within that set.

(i realize i can sort the folder alphabetically by Name - that's not what i'm requesting here. i'm asking that when i import sequentially…

  18. Fix mp4 Importing

Summary of problem - mp4's import some okay and some with just audio only. Seemingly random as to which mp4's will work.

This is happening in the latest build of CC18 (4/18/18). It was NOT happening in the previous build of CC18.

    thanks

  19. BUG: Footage reverts to old versions when using "Replace Footage" in Project panel.

I have encountered a bug with Premiere Pro CC 2019 V13.0.2.

    Steps to replicate:
    1. Right click footage (let's call it V1.mov) in project panel, select Replace Footage
    2. Select V2.mov to replace.
    3. Footage is updated in all sequences it's used as expected.
    4. Save and close the project.
    5. Another editor opens the same project on a different machine.
    6. Clips using V2.mov are named "V2.mov" but are pulling V1.mov

    Expected result for Step 6:
The sequence would load the replacement footage in Step 2.

This has caused some head ache for the production I'm on. Replace Footage…
