  1. Bin labels not imported when copying across projects

When copying-and-pasting from a sequence to another sequence in another project, the source bin structure is maintained as are the labels for the clips but labels are not maintained for the imported bins. The imported/created bins should retain the labels of the source.

  2. Media Browser not showing files in Premiere Pro CC 2019

I installed 2019 this morning and finished a video edit. Went on to a new project and found that Media Browser would not display the needed MP4 files on my local drive. The folder containing the files shows but the files themselves (which Finder confirms are there) do not show. When I open previous projects, though, Media Browser shows all those files. It seems that 2019 cannot view only files not previously viewed or imported.

  3. Import Selected Sequences not working

All my sequences load from the previous project when I try to import but when I select the sequence, nothing happens, my sequence doesn't load into the new project. I have the most recent update.

  4. 2019 pc bug report

Often but not every time PP freezes when double clicking in project to import files. it doesnt even let you choose a file it just freezes. I can drag files from explorer without trouble. It was this was in 2018 also...i think. I have 3 systems with all adobe approved hardware & they all do it. ALSO NEW TO 2019: Often when creating a bin PP wont allow me to open the bin. I have to shut PP & reopen it & then it will allow me. VERY FRUSTRATING BOTH OF THESE.

  6. Importing Media

While one wants to import media by right clicking in the media panel, it is just possible in the list view, but not in the grid view.
The right click ends up in opening the right click option of the individual media, but not for the whole media tab.

  8. Restrict Import to Media Browser

One of the most common reasons for users to have unstable systems is the fact that they have imported from Finder/Explorer and not via Media Browser.

From our experience, Media Browser Import workflow ensures strong file path structures, stitched files to import properly, and dynamic linking to work without errors (particularly in rendering via AME).

SUGGESTION: When a user attempts to drag-n-drop from Finder/Explorer, a warning should pop up that informs the user to choose media browser (and ideally prompt to have media browser open that folder).

On the Adobe Premiere Pro Users of Facebook forum, we’ve had hundreds of…

  10. Smart import - premier should know if the files have already been imported and give operator option to exclude dupes

Is there a simple way to either prevent Premiere from importing the same file into a project twice, or perhaps some sort of script that will automatically tag imported files in the finder?

The slight issue that we often have material added to our assets folder constantly as we're cutting, and it becomes difficult to keep track of what media has been imported and what hasn't, and we'd like to avoid having multiple instances of the same file in our projects.

    Any workarounds or solutions?

  11. Directly record video to timeline sequence

It would help streamline our workflow if we could record with a DSLR and have the video auto added to the timeline sequence. This can be done with audio already.

    1. In-studio, the video could be auto-added via wi-fi or direct connection
    2. On-location, the video could be auto-added via Dropbox, Google Drive, etc..

This way, our editors could work on the file now vs. waiting for us to get back to the studio (or wait for us to manually upload via Dropbox on-location), and in-studio, we could continue recording without the need to transfer files.

  13. Fix this

"Unsupported compression type" during import several files. My actions
    1) Imported lots of files with original filenames with success
    2) Sorted them on the timeline to understand the right order
    3) Deleted from project
    4) Renamed with Total Commander to make them more easy to classify, using simple counter in the filename
    5) Import them again
    6) 7 of 78 files didnt import, showing "incorrect compression type"

All the files are on local disk, backups with original filenames import well, what can be the problem? Screenshot included

  15. media browser

Expected Behavior: When Importing a clip in Media Browser, stay in Media Browser. Like previous versions of Premiere Pro.

Current Behavior: Premiere switches to the Project Panel and you have to manually go back to Media Browser and scroll down to where you were.

Additional Option: In case Adobe made a conscious choice to change the behavior from earlier settings, have a setting that allows you to stay in Media Browser after import (allow users to switch this on/off)

  16. Premiere Doesn't recognize AIF files unless .aif is in the file name

Past versions (I believe pre-2017) of Premiere used to recognize .AIF files even if .AIF wasn't in the filename itself. Now, unless .aif is in the file name, it won't recognize it as a supported file type. For example, "BestHits.aif" will import but "BestHits" won't even though they are both AIF files.

To illustrate, I duplicated at the same file and added ".aif" to the file name. In the included photos, Figure1, you can see that "Best Growl.aif" imported while "Best Growl" did not even though they are the same file, only difference is the inclusion of .aif in the…

  17. Bug: Different JPG brightness CC 2018/CC2019

There is a bug in CC2019 making images brighter. To reproduce just import a JPG, make a new sequence and export it as JPG again. Do the same in CC2018. Compare the output: The image generated by 2019 is brighter than the image from 2018.
Actually the bug is already visible after import in the monitor. When I import the same image as PNG and as JPG in 2019, the JPG comes in brighter without adding any effects or changing any settings.

  19. Add Conforming and Peak Files controls to Progress Panel

Add the conforming and generating peak files queue to the Progress Panel. Editing project on multiple machine becomes an issue when you have the conformed and peak files on the desktop vs an external or with the project files.

  20. Cancel conforming/generating peak file

Just let us cancel conforming and generating peak file when importing. Just that.

If the imported files are too heavy, it will take forever until I can use my computer again, since it's processing. If I can cancel the conforming step, I can choose which files I want to work with, if it's going to take too long.
