  2. Video clipping issue with various codecs

I have run into what seems like a very disturbing bug in Premiere Pro. Currently running 13.1.2 on an iMac with OS 10.14.1 and Blackmagic IO card.

I have a 1920x1080 23.976p sequence with Maximum Bit Depth and Maximum Render Quality selected.

I have camera original clips of various codecs. The problem occurs when a camera original clip has levels above 100ire.

When I put a .mp4 based clip with over 100 levels in the sequence the levels are preserved.

When I put a .mov file containing an XDCam 35 codec with over 100 levels in the sequence, the levels…

  3. BUG: Premiere Pro 2020 (P2 broken)

Premiere Pro 2020 seems to have broken the P2 folder format and importing clips to bins. No longer will the clips appear at the root folder. When trying to load a clip, the software wants to mine into the individual folders, thus unlinking the audio from the video, making them separate clips.

  4. Implement support for braw NATIVELY

Please add support for braw natively within Premiere Pro, Media Encoder and After Effects which doesn't rely on third party developers. This has been widely sought after for some time and many feel that support and updates should be implemented and exercised through Creative Cloud updates.

  5. I want to rewrap AVCHD material to other formats (MOV etc.).

Recently, recording on tapes has decreased, and recording on cards has been increasing rapidly.
In particular, it is often recorded in AVCHD.
However, AVCHD is very cumbersome because multiple clips are stored in one file.
I can not handle clips as single files. There are several disadvantages associated with this.

    1. It is inconvenient for delivery because the clip can not be treated as a single unit

    2. When migrating projects with multiple editing software such as AAF and XML, file management becomes complicated and difficult to handle.

    3. It is very confusing because each card has a clip with the same name…

  6. Support .XMLFCPX and .MXF files

Please support this file, my clients have been limited due to the problems in moving from FCP to Pr. I couldn't get MXF files to open or even find a way to transcode them.

  7. Improve recognition of MOV files recorded on iPhone XS and higher devices

When importing .MOV files recorded on the iPhone XS to the premiere timeline, it often only imports audio, other times it doesn't, and in some cases it imports video and audio.

Improvement is needed in this resource that hinders video producers and editors to do their work in a practical way.

  8. VHS / MiniDV Capability

    Hi there,

After a couple of sessions being assisted by your amazing support staff they advised me to write to you.

I work a lot with VHS and older formats. Because Premiere doesn't recognise the Mpeg4 formats in CC18/19 I now have to convert my VHS footage to ProRes in order to keep the sync and have playable video. This isn't too much of a hassle. However, I would plead to Adobe to please not ditch the function of capturing from tape in future versions.

Many of us who use older formats really depend on this ability to ingest our…

  9. proxy media and full resolution media must have matching audio channels

I feel like you should be able to attach proxies to full resolution media based on video and not just audio - I have hours worth of proxies that a DIT made and the audio channels don't match the source files so I can't connect them.
I can do this the traditional way, working with proxies, until picture lock, unlinking and then re-linking to full resolution media, however I'd prefer to have both on hand in Premiere.

  10. Support legacy Apple LiveType .ipr files.

Support legacy Apple LiveType .ipr files.
Older FCP7 Projects are full of these and it would make PP even more compatible

  12. Ability to batch change specific RED metadata

I'm sharing this idea from another user, Niko Pueringer (thank you, Nick!), as there's no need to rewrite this. If you do a quick Google search, you'll find that several users are in dire need of this feature...

    From Nick's Post:

There are only a few things holding back Lumetri from being a perfect powerhouse for my coloring workflow, and the inability to batch change specific RED metadata changes has been my biggest challenge when coloring R3D files in Premiere.

There are a lot of situations where I need this. For example, if I want to change the gamma space…

  13. P2

I cannot get P2 video to import into Premiere after updating to V14. Did we lose P2 support?

  14. CinemaDNG

Premiere Pro does not properly support CinemaDNG media. For starters, not all versions can be imported, specifically the media coming from the Blackmagic Ursa cameras.

But even for the versions that can be imported, support for the format is still lacking to the point of unusability.

The Media Browser will not see all the clips at the same time. We're forced to go into every individual clip folder for import duties. This is untenable.

The RAW controls available are limited to Temp, Tint and Exposure. The controls that are possible and must be implemented are:

    White Balance
    Color Space
    Gamma…

  15. Allow for multi channel audio when encoding to a transport stream

Allow for multi channel audio when encoding transport stream.

When selecting a transport stream as multiplexer there is currently no option to export multichannel audio, only stereo or stereo variations.

We would like to export a .m2t file with 4 channel audio.

This is possible in pretty much every other encoding system and even via command line ffmpeg.

I had a remote session with one of your engineering team who confirmed its not currently possible and suggested this feature request.

  16. Limited or Full Range Video Levels check boxes

I have a problem with Adobe Premiere since the v13.1 update.

It interprets video levels incorrectly, not being consistent with interpreting video as Limited Range 16-235 or Full Range 0-255, depending on the codec.

This is making it impossible to do any reliable colour correction work with Lumetri and also is making it impossible to generate reliable DCPs as the video levels are way off.

It will either add too much crush or flatten the image depending on the source. Sometimes affecting different clips differently depending on which codecs with which flags are in the timeline

    If there was a…

  17. Hello,

    Hello,
I would like to bring in light the fact that adobe premiere pro cc 2019 does not support h.265 format and its really frustrating.
If its possible do bring the codec in update as it does import in the 2017 version but does not In the 2019 version

  19. Premiere 12.1.2 - X-OCN ST clips show up as black

I have MXF clips from the Sony Venice recorded at 23.98 with the "F55X-OCNST38402160" video codec, which produce a black screen for video playback. The ISO was set to 500 on the camera. Nowhere does it say this format isn't supported by 12.1.2, only the XT format is listed as not working. Is there a patch codec I can download / install for 12.1.2 to get it to work or am I forced to upgrade Premiere?

  20. Mobile Ad Features for PPro and AE

Advertising has changed. My colleagues and I work exclusively within mobile ad formats for Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, etc. I'd like to see sequence set ups for 1080:1920 and 1536:1920 and 1920x1920 ( 9:16 and 4:5 and 1:1 ) More importantly I'd really like to see a way to work exclusively and seamlessly with h.264 codec across Ae and PPro. We are not in cinema so we really dont' need large file size codecs with optimal resolution. Yes we can convert on export. But our world is an exclusively electronic/in the cloud world. Large projects usually need to be uploaded in…
