  2. Restore ALL file formats

I have seen countless posts of people requesting formats back. I would make a general inquiry to reinstate ALL previous file formats.

I get how the market works, I get how some formats might not be ideal or whatever. But as an editor, that should be OUR choice, why should Adobe decide what formats or codecs I am allowed to use? If you don't want to answer the questions in regards to older or less effective codecs and formats, just don't allow technical support for those specific items? Who thought it was a good idea to just remove them all…

  3. 3200x1800 black border

The Arri format of 3200x1800 3.2K is shot technically at 3200x1824... other softwares, AVID and quicktime recognize this... Premiere doesn't seem to be recognizing this and I get a letterbox effect of 24 black pixels at the bottom of the frame.

  5. Gamma shift problem when importing jpg and png files, bmp and psd files look fine

When importing jpg or png files, when exporting (or viewing in the monitor with color management off), there is a significant gamma shift.

In the image supplied, the top half shows what the original image looked like, with the text on the left showing the color values of each bar, and the bottom half shows what happens to the image after it's exported through Premiere (since v13), with the red text on the right showing the color values of the modified image in contrast.

  7. Canon XF 705 Codec still has issues

Having consistent problems with HEVC footage recorded with the Canon XF 705. This is not related to one individual computer and has been tested on many different systems to find the same issues consistently.

    Bug description:

First of all the footage is incredibly laggy, it's impossible to edit from as it just freezes up after about 1 second of playback. We've tested this on even higher spec systems and the best we can get is some semi-smooth playback at 1/4 resolution with 1080p footage. If there is a way to improve playback of this footage that would solve the problem.

  8. Rush needs to be compatible to Samsung Galaxy S20 series

The Samsung Galaxy S20 series has been out since March, and Premiere Rush is still not compatible. I know the pandemic still rolls on, but engineers can work from home to fix this.

  11. Multiple Aspect Ratios in one video

    Hello there!
I would really like to be able to have multiple aspect ratios in one video, for example, the first part of my video is in 16:9 and the second in 4:3, it would be a new mode in the projects aspect ratio menu called fluid ratio or changeable ratio or something like that where the aspect raion isn't fixed but changes every time it detects different aspect ratio of the videos imported. I know some famous directors like Christopher Nolan are using this so why not make it a normal thing. It would make our life that much…

  12. FFV1 Support

    Hi,

I am hoping for FFV1 support in Adobe Premiere and AE. FFV1 is nationally recommended file format for long term preservation here in Finland (See more info: http://digitalpreservation.fi/files/File-Formats-1.7.0-en.pdf)

  13. Bring back support for Avid 1:1 codec

Please bring back support for the old Avid 1:1 codec (standard definition) for Premiere and Media Encoder. The Quicktime files with this codec used to be able to be imported years ago, but seemed to have lost support maybe about 4-5 years ago. My workplace could still use this support for our older videos. Avid Media Composer doesn't seem to have a good alternative export option for lossless SD format that I can see. So still stuck with Avid 1:1 for these videos. Yeah, Avid sucks. Thank you.

  14. MP4 Format failing to import

Make Premiere Pro the actual "premiere video editing software of the world" start by having PPro import common formats without problems.
MP4 is a standard format. MKV is a standard format. Why can't they be imported into PPro 2020?

  16. Sequence setting for iPhone Live Photos

Apple's Iphone Live Photos (specifically, the .mov files) do not import correctly, and there doesn't seem to be an existing preset for them. They look squashed. The format should import with a 4:3 ratio, but the frames come in with a black border at top and bottom. One must manually expand the vertical scale to 133.33 percent (or shrink the horizontal to 75 percent) to get the images to look right. I suspect premiere is misreading the actual pixel aspect ratio. Please address this.

  17. Render and replace option for time remapping

When rendering and replacing and 2020, time remapping is not correctly baked in, and the underlying media rendered becomes incorrect. It would be helpful to have the ability to correctly render these using render and replace.

Using captions to subtitle a feature film. Am making corrections to the captions, though the corrections appear in the list of captions correctly, the old incorrect caption keeps appearing on screen. I have deleted all preview files and render files for the project and tried it both Premiere 14.0.1 and 13.1.5. I am using the Open Captions format for the captions.BTW: I am using a Mac OSX 10.14.6

  19. Adobe Rush Format For Collaboration That Retains Edits/Transitions/Changes

Rush files that can be shared that include transitions and edits stored within the file. Rush is much easier to use than Premiere Pro, however there is 0 collaboration because I cannot share a RAW Rush file for someone else to tweak edits, transactions, audio, titles, ETC.

I think this would be very beneficial, especially in a school setting getting students comfortable with RUSH and certain terminologies before introducing them to Premiere Pro

Hello, New Sigma FP camera is launched and it records in Cinema DNG Format, it would be nice if we can import these files and edit it natively, as these cameras are designed for independent filmmakers , the whole idea is to get a project done with lil resources and less heads involved. would really want u to consider and get these files be able to import and edit natively.
