  1. Feature

May I share my suggestions or updates I would like to see. Ive use Adobe but my friend uses Final Cut Pro 10... #1 the render time difference is huge. A 30min video 4K, takes me 40min! Can you all improve this? #2 the magnetic time-line in Final Cut Pro is AWESOME!!!! #3 automate "Write-on" effect in Premier as well. The manual process sucks. Many times, I don't need After Effects.

  2. Make 'Export Media...' keyboard shortcut work from ANYWHERE in Pr! (just like Quick Export!)

The Quick Export keyboard shortcut works the way it should, from anywhere in the Pr interface, no matter which window is active.

So why does the keyboard shortcut for 'Export Media...' only work if the Timeline or the Program Monitor are the active window?

This is inconsistent, illogical and downright frustrating!

Unless there is a clear reason for working otherwise, keyboard shortcuts should always work no matter which window is active!

This goes for 'Bypass Lumetri Color Effects', 'Transparency Grid' and 'Sequence Settings' as well!

  3. I'm trying to export Quicktime with an H.264 Codec and uncompressed audio.

I have to export this way because a TV station requires it which means it must be somewhat industry standard. I think it's absolutely ridiculous that I'm paying almost $60/Month for a program that doesn't offer a basic export setting. I'm told it was in the 2017 version. Why would you even take an export setting out? This is enough to make me want to leave Adobe entirely! This is absolutely ludicrous!

  4. Bug: Failure to export to H.264 - Error compiling movie

My project fails to export to H.264 no matter what settings I try or using hardware versus software encoding, clearing cache files, etc. Using very latest version (13.1.5 build 47) on Windows 10 (Intel HD Graphics 630).

Attached are screen shots of the "Adobe Media Encoder" error screens. It fails at different points depending on if I choose hardware or software encoding.

I examined the video at the points of failure (4:09 for the hardware encoder, 6:19 for the software encoder) and find nothing significant there - no transitions are in progress, no keyframes.

I cannot find any workaround to…

  5. Bug: Colors in Program Monitor vs Export on Mac. And no the export LUT doesn't fix it.

There are now 719 people discussing if it is possible to get the same colors in the export as in the Program Monitor on a Mac for online publication.

I've struggled with this issue for soon 1 year and my conclusion so far is that NO, it is not possible in Premiere Pro.

There are only two ways that actually work:
    1. Buy external Rec.709 monitors for everyone
    2. Switch everyone to FCPX

Frankly, I'm flabbergasted that Adobe hasn't fixed this. My only hypothesis is that everyone at Adobe has hugely expensive displays, with no one actually using what a…

  6. Exported video has green distorted image (exported with hw acceleration; from some h.265 source)

In premiere pro project is looking ok. But in export some images are distorted (green, messy image). It happens only on footage which was shot on dji drone with h.265 codec. So video is looking fine, then there is this distorted part, then again ok, then again distorted... Export is in h.265 setting and with hw acceleration (GeForce Gtx 1060), sw rendering does NOT do that.

  7. Include Audio Channel information when exporting XMLs.

Now Premiere set all clip's channels as 1, the first. So annoying.

  8. "Show in folder" button when finish export.

One thing I would like to see in Premiere Pro is when you finish exporting a video, to see the original file in File Explorer when finished. I think this is very helpful to me because I have to search the file by myself to upload it to a video website.

  9. HEVC Out of Memory Failed To Create Encoder Premiere 2020

When exporting in both premiere and media encoder 2020, HEVC H265 exports fail, while they work perfectly in 2019.
    Error received:
    export error
    error compiling movie
    out of memory
    failed to create encoder
    select: 9
    error code: 7

    system specs:
    AMD 2700
    32 GB ram
    GTX 1060 3GB
    1TB SSD
updated from 2019 through creative cloud app

Error occurs whether or not CUDA is selected in media encoder.
Exporting in premiere or media encoder, lead to same error.
    H264 encoding is fine.

    Tried uninstalling and re-installing.

  10. Allow HDR 10 to be exported using Hardware Encoding instead of Software Encoding

HDR content takes forever to export using Software Encoding which takes 2 hours to export a 1 Minute HDR Clip. I believe Hardware Encoding could help reduce the export times a significant amount.

  11. BUG: h.265 "match source" preset changes frame interpolation to "blend"

Just what it says. Most other "match source" presets (including h264) keep frame interpolation set to "sample" but h265 changes it to blend, which can result in seriously messed up looking footage if you have mixed frame rates or speed changes.

    If this isn't a bug, it's a terrible idea

  12. not have premiere export abort, when a font is pasted in the font folder

Premiere now aborts the export of a movie, when a font is pasted in the system font folder in the system library. Premiere said a font is changed that is used in the export of the film, which is not true. And it is not necessary to stop exporting, because no fonts were changed, only one was added.

  13. It is not anymore possible to add LUTs before exporting in the "Export media" panel.

You cannot open the dropdown menu for applying Luts to the whole export in the media export panel. I took a screenshot of the dropdown menu which cannot be opened any more under Mac OS Big Sur

  14. Remove the Success on render alert.

Please can you remove this or at least have it as an option, it's really annoying.

  15. Bug Report: first frame of exported video is black/blank

I've been having an issue with my exported video files where the first frame of my exports (exporting with in/out markers) are blank.

I'm unsure of why this is happening but I suspect it to be a bug in PPcc2021.

I'm running a 2013 iMac and just updated to the new version of premiere

  16. Let me turn off the "Success" notification

There is now "Success" notification every time I render a video and it's the most annoying feature. Please allow us to turn the notification off. I realize it can be useful, I guess. But, as for me this thing is driving me even crazier.

    Thank you.

  17. quicktime export bug

Windows version 14.5.0 ( and the previous version ) QuickTime exports show a creation date 9 days into the future. The time is correct. This also happens if I export using Media Encoder. Thanks.

  18. ProRes 4444 with Alpha - file date in Windows 10 is 9 days in the future, CC 2020

When exporting with Pr 2020 as ProRes 4444 with Alpha, the file dates shown in Windows 10 are 9 days in the future. Dates are correct when exporting as h.264 mp4.

  19. Lumetri Vignettes fail to export

Could you please fix Lumetri export of vignettes? It will not export a vignette from 4K timeline to HD in Media Encoder unless 'Use Maximum Render Quality' is selected which means double file size and time exporting. For a feature 4K film to HD this is not realistic on average computing equipment.

  20. Open in Finder on Export

I like the new message letting you know your video was exported successfully. Rather than just being able to click OK to make the window go away, I would like to see a second option of "Open in Finder" so it will take you directly to the folder where you just exported the file to.
