export the captions separately without the video
I like the new captions system in beta, but I want to be able to export the captions separately without the video, just like before.

Find & replace
A find & replace tool for the captions would be good. This way if a particular word is always incorrectly capitalised/lower case, it can easily be fixed, or if a particular word is commonly mis-transcribed, e.g. filter always comes up as Philtre.

Allow ITT and CAP files to be imported into Premiere Pro
Please add support for ITT and CAP files in Premiere Pro. Currently, only SRT is supported which is very limiting.

Move Captions to the bottom of the screen
It would be useful to be able to move the captions all the way to the bottom of the screen.
126 votesThis is by design. We always keep captions within safe margins (10%). Would an option to defeat this restriction be useful or is it better to remove this safeguard all together. Opinions welcome.

Include option to include time stamps when exporting Speech to Text to a text file
First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH devs for this feature. What you have done here is an absolute dream for me, and makes my life so much easier. I have thousands of hours of video that I can now happily transcode without having to type it by hand. Thank you so much!! I can finally begin this video project that I have been putting off for years.
My goal is to create searchable databases of the speech in my videos, so it would be really helpful for me if there were an option to include the timestamps in the…

In Transcript: Export to text file - must include Timecode info!
In Transcript: Export to text file.. To make this useful it needs to take clip name (all takes on timeline) and timecode info across so my (old school) documentary director can make a paper edit from interviews etc. Then provide me with time codes to build the assembly. (often barked down the phone!)
If I was self-directing and doing a project entirely within Premier. fine, I wouldn't need to export anything.
But filmmaking is a collaboration and the director doesn't want to touch the edit program but happy to look at text in Word or similar. If the exported text…

Editing tools for speech to text captions
Hi, I've been trying out the speech to text and I love it but I can't edit the cpations once generated and I would like to be able to just like with regular open captions. So far the feature itself is awesome and is saving me so much time, thanks!

stop moving captions tool when editing text
Please give us an option to stop the captions tool to follow the selected caption, if you want to edit the text. When you click on a specific text in the captions-window, the captions would move and center the selected caption. It would be nice, if it wouldn't move when you doubleclick to edit the text.

i see you can export transcripts. But can you edit the transcript and re import and then make captions out of a corrected transcript?

Transcript Editing
When making edits to the generated transcript, same as the captions editing annoyance is the inability to tab through sections of text. Also frustrating is that when double-clicking into a text section, the entire section is selected and not just the word that was clicked on. Making edits takes much longer when having to find the offending spelling/word (since things have now shifted) and then needing to reposition the cursor to be able to start to fix the error.
Why does the transcript need to show the timings on the side and break up the text by time? When exported…

speech to text translation
Would it be possible that after the editor has corrected the speech to text transcript it could be re-uploaded to be translated into another language and create another speech to text transcript. So we end up with multiple captions in different languages which the editor can export out as multiple SRT files for uploading to what ever platform they are using all from within Premier Pro.

Export Subtitles for Corrections
Export speech to text transcripts and subtitles so Print Publishers can edit the correct spelling, names and so on when Adobe Speech to Text doesn't translate correctly. Then allow the editor to re import the corrected transcript and create corrected sub titles and captions from corrected transcripts.

Add quick render options for transcripts and captions
The transcript/caption feature update is great! what would make it amazing is a quick button on both the transcript and caption windows that give you a quick option to download the transcript as a text document and an option to download the captions as an SRT side car file without having to render the video as well. The use case here is that I'd like to use this feature to go back and transcribe/caption a bunch of videos that I previously produced before this feature was available for ADA compliance. I'd like a quick workflow for doing that.

Better keyboard workflow while editing captions.
I have been using the new captions workflow for some time now and the one thing that has bothered me from the start has been the flow of moving from one section of caption line to the next. When finished with typing into the textbox from one, it would seem logical to be able to tab down to the next and continue typing. The same would apply in reverse should someone want to move back up a textbox. It would also be great to be able to have a keyboard combo to place a new caption by doing something like…

Need ability to export transcripts, and subtitles
Ability to export transcripts and subtitles to a document. Then a content editor can fix names, spellings and punctuation that Adobe speech to text misses.
