Trimming Not Intuitive
If I want to move the end of one subtitle and the beginning of another, I have to move the front of the second one before moving the back of the first. I should be able to grab both simultaneously where they touch and move them together. THis is very intuitive and Davinci resolve does it quite well

Add Romanian as an available language for auto transcription, please!
The auto feature for subtitles is amazing. Adding Romanian should be an easy language, as it's very phonetic. Very similar to Italian.

'Push to Track or Style' does not include Align & Transform Properties
Align & Transform properties are not included when you push to a captions track, and will only work sometimes with captions styles.

Need to be able to import files with embedded EIA-608 (A/53 DTVCC Transport) !!! This is broadcast standard!
Need to be able to import files that have EIA-608 embedded as A/53 DTVCC Transport. This is broadcast standard, and every MXF file I have shows embedded captions in both MediaInfo and VLC Player, but when imported into Premiere (multiple versions tested) no captions are present.

BUG: Edits to Captions not saved.
When using the cations feature, and trying to edit automatic transcription of audio, it often won't save. I then have to re-do the editing of the captions sometimes up to 5 times before it holds.

Teach French Canadian to the Transcription AI.
The AI is very efficient with English, but has a lot of trouble with French. Maybe diffenciate French, from France and French from Canada.

Allow captions to be edge-panned for social media video formats
In previous versions of Premiere Pro, you were able to modify the resolution of the caption/SRT file in order to be able to stretch the captions to the edge. This is especially needed for certain social media video formats because it allows for more characters, which is often needed in 1:1 and 4:5 formats.
Now, however, it is not possible to modify the captions file anymore (I usually import an SRT file), and it's therefore not possible to edge-pan the caption track.
Can you please add an option so the captions are able to be stretched all the way to…

Export transcript to text file with timestamps
When transcribing a file within Premiere and exporting the result to a text file, it would be extremely helpful for that text file to include the timestamps.

Captions: Maximum length duration
There should be a maximum length and duration for captions. Right now there's a minimum which can be sad but there's no maximum. I'm having issue with Japanese Language transcriptions and captions because their maximum length is infinite. I heard this happens in Spanish as well. The transcription is fine and good language is good but the length in transcription on the captions is too long on some areas where nobody's talking. I already have an open case on this

Give users flexibility to position Caption text beyond title safe areas
Having the flexibility to precisely position elements on-screen is essential. That’s not the case with styled Captions in Premiere.
A previous revamp of Premiere’s captioning feature removed the ability to freely position caption objects like video clips by allowing users to change the position values in the Motion section of Effect Controls. This simple workaround gave users full flexibility with caption positioning, even when the internal Caption positioning controls did not allow moving objects beyond title safe.
Since caption objects are no longer video objects, there are no associated Motion Effect Controls to adjust. No more workaround. You simply cannot…

Auto-transcription updates automatically
If you make edits to the closed caption on the timeline (eg. edit typos etc) then the original auto-transcription should update as well. Would make it easier to be able to export out a clean transcript (without timecodes) at the end of a project for website reader purposes.

The new captions panel for Hebrew is not yet there.
When you published the Beta version, the Hebrew captions problem was solved (it was perfect). but then, when you published the 2021 update (v15) the Hebrew captions in the panel were fine, but what you see on the program panel is reversed! please make it better again and fix this problem in the next update...

Bug in captioning feature
Hello. Yes, the new auto-transcript and captioning feature is great. BUT, a very bothersome bug is hindering my ability to use it.
The auto-transcribe feature does a very decent job, but what I'm finding is that when it makes an error and I retype into a title card to correct it, oftentimes Premiere will show me the corrected version and then, while I'm working in another title card further down the timeline, Premiere reverts the card I had just corrected to its previous text. This has been happening many times, often several times with the same card. I've tried saving…2 votes -
PLEASE debug the caption tool...it's VERY slow, and doesn't "remember" changes made to auto-captioned text. :-(

PLS, PLS, PLS bring back the ability to batch export captions directly from the Bin.
This used to be easy. When working with hundreds of sequences, it's not feasible to individually export SRTs from the Text Panel. And when doing it from the Export Media dialog, you HAVE to do it alongside another video or audio file. Sometimes our caption sidecars are exported months after the videos, and I would currently have to create hundreds of new videos just to export a sidecar. Before the redesign, I could simply select all my caption files in the bin, and then choose "Export > Captions." I'm BEGGING you to reinstate this function
