  1. Fix Denoiser - don't throw it away

Denoiser seems to have been made obsolete with Premiere CC 13.1.1 - and within the Essential Sound Panel/Repair Section, Reduce noise has been made nonfunctional... presumably because Denoiser has gone away. This is a shame. Denoiser had problems when applied to clips (i.e., taking a few seconds at the beginning of each clip to take full effect) but you could work around it by applying it at the track level. This effect should be improved, not thrown in the trash bin.

  2. Audio POPS at beginning of clips

I am suddenly getting audio pops at the beginning of clips which cannot be 'hidden' with any kind of transition. I have seen posts in forums going back 3 years with this issue. I have not had it before but it's disappointing it still happens and you have been made aware of it for so long. I have had to fill the preceding space with a clip that has zero gain to get rid of it.

  3. AUDIO GAIN settings: PASTE and REMOVE attributes

It would be nice to include AUDIO GAIN settings to paste and remove attributes options.

Paste attributes would use the same audio gain configuration as the clip that was copied. Ex. If normalize peak to -6 was used on the source clip this would also be used on the destination clip(s).

Remove attributes would set gain back to 0.

  4. waveform resize

It would be great to have the ability of controlling waveform size as presented in the timeline with n o need to change the timeline view (because of changing zoom in or out)

  5. select multiple keyframes in the timeline

Moving a bunch of volume automation is not a pleasant experience. I have to individually select each control point and then move it. I'll usually have to start over several times because inevitably it will think I clicked on just one point.

Let us box-select keyframes. It's all done in one motion.

  6. Audio that is slipped into sync in audio units, loses sync when moved.

When I slip audio a fraction of a frame in "audio time units" mode, as soon as I move that clip to another location or cut/paste, it reverts to it's original (slightly out of sync) state. It's maddening.

  7. premiere pro 12.1.1 audio not working upon project startup

when starting a project the audio is not working/playing at all, usually happens specifically with projects with nests in.

the work around is to solo an audio track and then it all comes back. not a massive hassle but a bug for sure!

  8. BUG - Timeline Audio Playback Issue - Wrong Track Playing

Premiere Pro CC - Ver. 12.1.1 (Build 10)

On a sequence with a total of 5 audio tracks, I have two of the tracks soloed. When I launch the project and play the timeline, the wrong audio track is played.

The bug is defeated by un-soloing one of the two tracks and then re-applying the solo button so again, two of the five tracks are soloed. Playback then resumes as normal.

  9. Allow keyframe orientation in audio ducking

We need an option to have the keyframing with audio ducking to happen centred on a transition as opposed to always before. You end up with big dull spots of audio that I always have to correct by moving the keyframes to centered over the transition (start of speech etc). Also be good to have this option when applying multiple audio transitions. This is a very useful feature in avid.

  10. Looping Record for ADR/voiceover synchronized to picture

Recording ADR/foley/voiceover is easiest if you can record using a LOOPING RECORD to record multiple takes in a repeating rhythm so the artist can anticipate the speech cadence. WORKFLOW: editor would click IN and OUT points to define the area to punch into (record), click the "Looping Record" icon in the interface, and then record multiple takes until they get it right. In Preferences the "Postroll" would be some adjustable duration (example: two seconds) that extends the duration of each loop with a non-recorded pause between takes. There would also be a "Countdown/Preroll" setting with two choices - either one-second…

  11. Enable adding custom made sound effects presets in audio track mixer.

Currently there is no way to add my own sound presets to an audio track in the audio track mixer. You can only apply the sound effects that ship with premiere pro. For instance, i have created my own sound presets in the presets folder but can only apply them to audio clips and not audio tracks. To do that i would have to go to audition. Perhaps an option in the audio track mixer for one to add their own sound effects presets would good.

  12. Jesus Christ, let us unmerge audio already for merged clips!

Title says it all. This is asinine, and requires hours of extra work to fix if you want to send an AAF to a sound editor. It's 2020. Why is this still a thing? If XML can do it, you can do it. Good lord, this has been an issue for years. Hard to leave Premiere, but looking to move to Resolve as my go-to NLE unless something can be done. This is such a stupid problem to be having. Only Premiere has this issue.

  14. BUG: Keyframes disappearing in Premiere Pro timeline

This has been a bug since 14.0.3 of Premiere Pro. I first notified Adobe about this on March 7th and have been having to contact them constantly since. While in Premiere, I click to add a keyframe, I move forward a couple frames, I click to add another keyframe but instead the previous one disappears. The last build this worked properly was 14.0.1.

I was assured this issue would be fixed and it has not. What is taking so long? I'm tired of reverting back to a version 4 builds ago.

  15. Essential Sound ducking fades should have the option to overlap dialogue.

Essential Sound ducking fades should have the option to overlap dialogue.

Currently, Essential Audio ducking adds fade keyframes either side of the audio it's set to duck (generally dialogue). However, it's far less jarring for the viewer if the fade overlaps the beginning and end of the dialogue slightly. This is the standard way to work in an audio mix. The lack of this functionality makes ducking, something that has the potential to save a lot of time, completely useless in the real world.

  16. Change Audio Crossfade Type In The Sequence

  17. Auto add 1 frame fade on sound clips

You know the situation. You cut up a sound file and all looks well until you play it back. Then you hear it. The audible click from each start and end of a clip as the sample is jumped from zero of near silence to the audio clip you want there.

The common solution? A one or two frame fade to bring that sample down so it plays nicely in the mix.

The 1-2 frame crossfade on sound clips... So many times people have asked me why I so religiously do it on all sound clips. But killing all the…

  18. Add Side-chaining

This would be useful to place a side-chain compressor on a submix (music stems, FX, atmosphere) to listen to the VO track. Whenever the VO came on, the compressor would duck accordingly.

Even a dynamic EQ or multiband compressor could just duck out the mid range where the VO sits and leave the other elements in place to sound very natural and non-invasive.

Lack of side-chain is very cumbersome to duck submixed music stems. Please add this!!

  19. Audio metadata (showing track names etc. on the timeline and in the project/bin windows

Adding capabilities for audio metadata (showing track names etc. on the timeline and in the project/bin windows) like any other NLE and DAW. It is an absolute must for any serious feature editing. Generally the audio metadata functions (export and re-import to and from Pro-Tools etc.) deserve still quite some work.

  20. Make a Same As Source Audio or Passthrough Audio Option in Premiere/AME

If we are making proxies in PP, we don't want to have to create custom presets for every different variation of media because there were multiple cameras with different audio channel setups. Please make a 'Pass Through Audio' or 'Same As Source' Audio option for exports/proxy ingest generation. DaVinci does this, and we'll keep using DaVinci until Adobe figures this out :/
