  1. BUG: MP3 (all audio, presumably) files misidentified as 29.97fps on import

Avid offers a choice of how to interpret fps when importing audio (and shows the file FPS if available). Adobe assumes 29.97 if there is no file FPS. This is annoying in 25fps land. I'd rather set it to assume 25fps.

  2. Premiere Pro 2019 Audio Channel Issues

The issue is primarily working with multi-channel audio files that work fine in 2018 but when you convert them to 2019 it appears the audio is missing in all of our projects. The fix is to go back and set the audio channels back to the proper channel e.g. (ch 2 instead of 4 which it seems to keep defaulting)

This also happened when one of the new 2019 projects crashed, all the audio seemingly disappeared until we reassigned the proper audio channel.

  4. Audio: allow source side to have more tracks than timeline (like Avid)

Allow loading of clip with many audio tracks to source window, and display them as available to be patched, when timeline contains fewer.

I hate to have more than 8 timeline tracks but regularly have 16 source tracks.

I know workarounds, but they are all a pain & take time to manage.

  5. After recent update, Premiere is no longer exporting Right channel audio in MXF exports.

We have been able to consistently duplicate this issue on three of our iMacs running Premiere 13.0.1 (build 13). We are a broadcast TV station and need to export in the MXF format for our video playout servers.

We've noticed the issue when our original material has two distinctly different pieces of audio on the left and right tracks. For example, piano soundtrack on Right and Voice Over on Left. The clip plays in preview and in the sequence with the audio as expected VO on Left and Piano on Right channels. When we export MXF OP1a/XDCAM HD 35NTSC 60i/48kHz/2…

  6. Find Audio Peaks

When a timeline is open, create a command to have Premiere mark any audio peaking with markers. This was a feature in pre-X Final Cut Pro; it was nearly instantaneous and infinitely helpful.

  8. Audio glitch when crossfading between two clips

I recently upgraded to V13.01. I've always used a short crossfade between two VO clips of the same person (just to remove pops). 2 -4 frames has always worked in the past. Since upgrading it does a funny thing where it glitches and sounds like its replaying a couple of frames of the incoming audio early. This has been the standard workflow for many years on both Prem and FCP 7 so it really needs to be fixed. thanks Giles

  10. Batch Audio Syncing.

Merging Clips to audio one at a time is much too slow, this comes especially true if I sound files are delivered in .wav folders as opposed to polywavs and I need to subclip those together.

It would be nice to be able to make multiple different sub clips at the same time based on time code. Avid does this feature incredibly well and premiere needs to step up to the plate.

  11. Audiomixer Scene Save function

if you use premiere in a recurring studio setup. It is quite annoying to have to enter all audio settings/plugins for each track again and again by hand, especially so that it reproducibly always sounds the same.
That is very complicated. So if you have the possibility, across all tracks, to save the used plugins (internal and vst). So to speak as a "mixer setup or scene". That would be very time-saving.

  12. CC 12 - 12.1.2 BUG: No sound on project open, playback or export

The "no sound" bug on project open, playback & export reported in CC 12.0 has not been addressed as reported here:
    https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/kb/fixed-issues.html

Not even close! The problem became even worse on both Windows and Mac.
I've tried deleting my settings again and dumping my media caches.
Something which I'm not happy doing every time you post an update.
However the issue is still here.

I'm not going to give you any more chances on this. My day is becoming more and more difficult every single day, using your software.

  13. Chose your waveform to display in Multicam sequences

When nesting a multicam interview (say 4 cameras), it would be useful to be able to assign one of the audio tracks as the "Multicam Display Track". All of the audio used in a multicam sequence has a waveform/pke file generated for it so why not let the user choose one of those waveforms to view when the multicam sequence is nested within another sequence.

The current method of "rendering" the audio to acquire a waveform display is slow and takes tremendous amounts of storage for the rendered audio. Try the current method on a 40 minute interview with 4…

  16. Audio Bug

I had an audio bug occur last night when finishing up a project. Keep in mind I was editing at around half my macbook pro volume or less, as well as had every audio clip in my timeline at or below -15db. Out of nowhere as I was playing back my project it paused and a loud screech at about 10x my max computer volume came out of the speakers & WOULD NOT STOP. I quit the program and reopened it, upon playback I realized it had blown some of my macbook speakers. Explanation ?

  18. BUG: Audio Level Slider graphic doesn't reflect changes

    EFFECT CONTROL PANEL
Macbook Pro 2012. OS X El Capitan. 10.11.6
Premiere Pro CC 12.1.2 (Build 69)

    1. I drop the audio in a clip to negative infinity on the audio level slider.
    2. I deselect the clip then reselect it.
    3. The audio level notch is now back to where it was before I muted it.
    4. The audio reverts to mute when I hit play.

Interface bug, not so much a functional bug.

  19. Prompt to name file of voiceover just recorded!

Recording voiceovers in Premiere is kind of cumbersome because the generic "Audio 1" filename is assigned by default, which means in order to keep the project and original files organized, you have to manually rename the files and re-import/link the files. If there was a feature to name the file before it was saved, that would save a ton of headache!

The adobe premeire 2019 with also audition presents the same problem.
They do not recognize the input devices of the computer, microphone, thus preventing us from doing a narration.
